ABOUT US

Founded in 1996, Durham University Polo Club (DUPC) is a friendly and inclusive club that aims to give students an affordable and accessible way to play polo.

You don’t need any previous experience, or even any experience on horseback! We cater for everyone; from those unfamiliar with horses, to those who have played polo their whole lives. The majority of our members have never played polo before coming to Durham. With training and opportunities ranging from beginner to open level, we support our members as they develop their riding and polo skills, while also fielding competitive teams across a range of abilities.

We are lucky enough to have access to discounted lessons and horse hire, and we provide free transport to and from lessons and competitions. We train at Dart Polo Club in Lincolnshire, offering 2 hour lessons or 4 hour intensive training sessions.

From nationals to socials, there are plenty of ways to get involved and meet people across the club. Whether you’re looking to take up a completely new sport, compete for Durham, or simply try something a little different, we’d love to have you join us.
